On 14th January 2013, Berge Bulk christened their new VLOC in Singapore waters. The vessel named "Berge Neblina" was built at the Bohai Shipyard in China. The delivery marks an exciting day for Berge Bulk as their cargo capacity expands by 388,000 dwt.
The impressive eco friendly vessel is 361m long and 65m wide. This is the fourth vessel in this series and has 7 cargo holds - it will be deployed world-wide to transport iron-ore; safely, reliably and efficiently.
Berge Bulk Limited is one of the world's leading independent dry bulk owners, headquartered in Bermuda and managed out of Singapore. Berge Bulk was set up in 2007 by James Marshall CEO. No longer part of the BW Group, it builds upon a strong shipping heritage dating all the way back to 1935 - with the experience from Hong Kong's World-Wide Shipping Group and Norway's Bergesen. Marshall established the stand-alone business Berge Bulk to focus on the development of large bulk carriers. It now owns and operates a fleet of 25 vessels, equating to over 7 million DWT. The Berge Bulk fleet includes some of the largest dry bulk carriers in the world, specialising in delivery of iron-ore and coal and is committed to delivering safe, reliable and efficient transport for our customers.
