Supporting your educational journey…
Berge Bulk supports the Singapore Maritime Foundation by offering scholarships to students who are passionate about maritime careers.
In collaboration with the Singapore Maritime Port Authority (MPA), we aim to make education more accessible for talented individuals. Berge Bulk are investing in the future of the industry, and the MaritimeONE Scholarship can potentially lead to internships and management roles within the company.
How to apply?
The scholarships are typically awarded in the penultimate year of study, with the selection process beginning at the start of the calendar year. All scholarship opportunities with Berge Bulk are available exclusively through the BrightSparks student portal:
“My time at Berge Bulk has been such a rewarding experience. Everyone’s been so supportive, and working with the guidance of different teams has really helped me to grow. Having the opportunity to go onboard a vessel for the first time was amazing — it brought everything I’ve studied to life! Overall it’s given me a much clearer view of the industry, and it’s definitely made me even more excited to contribute to the future of shipping, especially in areas like sustainability and innovation.”Xiu Fang Yeo
former intern with the HSSEQ and Marine Departments, a Singapore MaritimeONE scholar and currently a management associate at Berge Bulk
“My internship at Berge Bulk gave me the opportunity to experience the maritime industry from a perspective I could never get from the classroom alone. I appreciated being trusted with meaningful work and learning directly from people with years of industry experience. What stood out most was how willing everyone was to explain their thought processes and involve me in the work, allowing me to learn through countless conversations and opportunities to collaborate. For future interns, I would encourage them to stay curious, take initiative, and make the most of every opportunity to learn.”Sok Ee
former intern with Commercial/Operations, and a Singapore MaritimeONE scholar
