Plastic Awareness Through Well@Sea Challenges
To reinforce our fleetwide efforts to reduce plastic waste in 2022, we launched two challenges on our crew engagement platform: Well@Sea.
The first challenge, launched in February 2022, was a word-search challenge, in which the crew competed to find words related to plastic waste among a jumble of letters on a page. To conclude the challenge, each team wrote down five actions that they were committed to take in order to further reduce plastic waste on board their vessel.
The second challenge, launched in April 2022, was an artistic challenge. The crew had to get creative by making a sculpture, collage, or painting using upcycled waste materials, easily found onboard the vessel.
