Singapore Recycling Initiative
We participate in Singapore’s recycling programmes to help divert waste from landfill and support the recovery of recyclable materials.
Through approved recycling facilities, materials such as plastic, paper and metal can be collected, processed and verified through certificates of recovery.
To strengthen onboard recycling practices, we introduced a requirement for all vessels calling at the Port of Singapore to participate in the programme. Under this approach, our catering partners support the collection of recyclable materials and their delivery to certified recycling facilities. The initiative has helped increase recycling participation across our fleet and improve the recovery of recyclable materials that might otherwise be sent to landfill.
By working closely with our vessel teams and service providers, we continue to explore opportunities to improve waste segregation, increase recycling rates and support a more circular approach to waste management.
