Berge Bulk is committed to reducing our waste footprint, aiming to ensure a waste-conscious culture across the whole company
The Marshall Foundation supports social enterprises and companies in Indonesia and India that are working to reduce and manage waste. Investing in dry waste management and recycling projects, this philanthropic collaboration helps to fund vital work — reducing landfill and single-use plastic production, as well as supporting local communities with sustainable employment.
This philanthropic funding contributes to global waste reduction, and this is critical for environmental sustainability, resource conservation, and economic efficiency.
Seven Clean Seas
Seven Clean Seas is a Social Enterprise on a mission to recover 100,000,000kg of plastic from the oceans by 2030. To date, they have pulled over 6,800,000 kg of plastic waste out of the ocean. The Marshall Foundation has been supporting Seven Clean Seas since 2020 to advance their work in Bintan and Batam Indonesia. We have funded their Material Recovery Facility in Bintan, Indonesia. This facility plays a vital role in reducing landfill waste — preparing recyclable materials for recycling centres. A full-time crew help aggregate, sort, and process the plastic waste collected from local beaches and oceans.

Alner
Alner is an Indonesian company on a mission to reduce plastic waste. In 2025, through collaboration with brands to replace single-use sachets with refillable, recyclable packaging solutions, Alner prevented around 600,000 single use packages from being used — significantly reducing waste in the environment.

Nepra Resource Management
Nepra Resource Management is the largest dry waste management and recycling company in India. The Marshall Foundation is an indirect investor in Nepra through the Aavishkaar Bharat Fund — an impact fund investing in India. Since Aavishkaar invested in Nepra in April 2018, Nepra has recycled over 285,000 tonnes of waste.
